A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that powers that result. Calexico Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message and any details you include are received so a reply can be sent.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the time of a request. Those ordinary logs help diagnose errors and understand traffic in aggregate. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement when those services are enabled.
How the Data Is Used
Technical information is used to operate the pages, correct faults, measure visits, and improve the reference. The operators do not sell visitor lists or build a personal profile of an individual reader from these records.
External Links and Search Providers
The pages link to Imperial County portals, California services, libraries, archives, courts, and other search tools. What a visitor submits on an outside service is governed by that service’s policy. Sponsored search results are also supplied by a third party, not by the operators of Calexico Residents Directory.
Who Receives Technical Data
Hosting and site-support providers can process the server information needed to deliver the pages. Where enabled, analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information may be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; it is not otherwise shared as a visitor list.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes that require them. Because there are no site accounts, the service does not maintain a password or personal profile for a visitor.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor is believed to have sent information, a request through the Contact page can identify it for deletion.
California Privacy Rights
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, appears in Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq. Depending on the person and the data involved, it can provide rights to know, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing, subject to statutory exceptions. Because Calexico Residents Directory keeps little information, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs. Public records held by California, Imperial County, or Calexico are outside the operators’ control. A request to remove or correct an official record must go to the office that created or holds it. California Public Records Act requests for government records are likewise directed to the relevant custodian.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted at this address. Continuing to use the reference after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated wording.
